About

Hi there! I'm Bridget, a long term Iyengar Yoga student and teacher. I teach Classes and workshops from True Woo studio in Cronulla, and run day, weekend and week long retreats regularly throughout the year.

My main interest is following your health, growth and progress over the long term.  I aim to teach you how to use yoga practically in your every day life - not just for physical health and mental well-being (that will happen naturally) but how to apply what you learn on the mat to situations we encounter every day. So your yoga practice becomes an incredibly useful tool for living.

Classes are practical and firmly based in the Iyengar tradition. Our classes are inclusive, building logically from simple to more challenging, which means you won't feel left out.

Testimonials

"Firstly I want to thank you for the most enjoyable yoga class. I wanted so much to join your class, but was so apprehensive as I know I am very unfit and overweight and had no idea what to expect. But I found a caring, supportive, non judgemental, experienced, most knowledgeable, sincere full of smiles person accepting me. So a very big THANK YOU for the last 8 weeks experience. Every week I leave your class feeling better, rejuvenated and with a lot less body aches. I have this feeling of being lighter on my feet."

-Kamini, YOGA PRACTITIONER

"The friend who suggested I take up yoga said I might need to try a few teachers before I found the right one. She was wrong. As soon as I met Bridget, it was clear she was an excellent teacher, a kind and sensitive person and a genius at remembering and caring about our individual ailments. Her classes are always fun, often challenging – in a good way – with constantly varied practice and plenty of joy and laughter!"

-Cate, YOGA PRACTITIONER

"The thing I liked most was the smaller size group and the opportunity this afforded to get to know others. Beyond this, loved the way the yoga was modified where necessary to accommodate the range of ages and skill levels! I feel it was a wonderfully inclusive retreat because of this - no one was left out!!"

Yes you can. Iyengar teachers are well trained to deal with many injuries and illnesses. Usually just small discreet adjustments are made so you can practice safely. For more serious conditions, or if you are feeling nervous, please contact us for a chat.

Yes you will! There are lots of benefits. Usually people notice quite quickly they feel better after class, a bit brighter, a bit more energy. Your sleep may improve, and with consistent practice niggly aches and pains start to disappear.

You'll improve your mobility and strength, and gradually mental clarity and emotional regulation come as you work on the systems of the body.

Yes! on Wednesday mornings at 10am there is a class at Shelly Beach, Cronulla. We meet behind the pavilion. You are welcome to stay for Coffee and a chat and even a swim afterwards!

Seabreeze Yoga hires space from True Woo Studio, which is upstairs at 26 Ewos Parade, Cronulla.

Our Wednesday outdoors class is in Shelly Park, Cronulla. We meet right behind the pavilion.

In the studio we have everything you might need - some people prefer to to use their own mat.

In the Park you will need a mat (or towel) to lie on. One yoga belt and two yoga blocks. I always bring extras, so don't worry if you dont have them!

YES!! That's one of the best reasons to start practicing yoga! I'll help you gradually stretch your body safely, so you feel great as well as slowly working on increasing flexibility and mobility.

That is up to you. Obviously the more you practice the quicker the results, but we have busy lives. A little bit of yoga is better than none!!

Wear comfortable clothing that can stretch. A t-shirt and shorts, or yoga pants is ideal.
